As we previously talked gaming console in our recent post two names come up mind i.e Sony Play Station and Microsoft Xbox. Previously we talked about Sony next-gen console but this post is more centered around Xbox.
Xbox has confirmed that they are working on the new gen of Xbox called Project Scarlett. At this years E3 2019 Xbox also revealed some of its capability.
So let's see some confirmed specifications about Xbox Project Scarlett. At the heart of Project Scarlett is a custom design processor leveraging the latest Zen 2 and Navi technology from AMD. The Zen 2 processor promises Four times more than the Xbox One X.
It also has some other exciting feature such as real-life ray-tracing for those who don't know what is ray tracing, in simple word ray tracing is a technique for generating an image by tracing the path of light as pixels in an image plane and simulating the effects of its encounters with virtual objects. Doesn't so sound cool but believe me it looks way cooler.
Project Scarlett has a frame rate of up to 120 FPS. Also leveraging high bandwidth GGDR6 for the best performance and variable refresh rate support. It also supports 8K resolution and has a custom SSD(Solid State Drive) storage system that promises much faster load times.
In a trailer video launched by Xbox on 9th June 2019. They said that they are using the SSD as virtual ram which gives more performance power.
Xbox Project xCloud will pay a major role not just for Project Scarlett but for the Xbox ecosystem as well. Project X Cloud allows you to stream games to your other devices.
The one question that remains in everyone's mind that is
"How much will the Project Scarlett cost?".
Unfortunately, that question is still a mystery but we can say one thing for sure that it won't be cheap at all.
So the only question that every game lover is thinking about is
"Will Project Scarlett beat Sony's Next Gen gaming console?".
The answer to that question is something that we cannot even estimate at this particular moment. Next year is going so full of excitement.
