Somewhere down the line you must have heard of the term“Infrastructure”. Let us understand today what exactly Infrastructure means in terms of Information Technology. Collection of resources in simple terms or Group of resources which are used to provide an interactive output to the user. Let us now understand what resources exactly means.“Resources” means a group of components such as Router, Switches, Server, Hubs, and much more which are used for networking. Do resources means just the hardware components? Resources are not just hardware components but a collection of hardware, software, network resources, and services that are required for operation and for the management of Enterprise IT solutions. It is required for imparting IT Solutions of an organization to its employees, business partners, or their customers.

You must be thinking of the need that has arisen to create an Information Technology Infrastructure. Many companies such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud provide Cloud services to their clients. Cloud Services includes many applications which we use in our daily life such as Google Drive by Google Inc. and varied applications such as Office 365 by Microsoft Inc. Google Drive has a simple concept of Storage Area Network (SAN), which provides users cloud space to store and manage their important documents whereas Office 365 provides users an interface to edit, modify and present their work using many Microsoft Applications such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel and much more. It would be an endless conversation if we look at the applications and services which we use through Cloud in our daily lives. But to provide those services companies set up an IT Infrastructure in their own organization, or collaborate with other organizations in order to provide services to their clients.
